My Story
I'm Gift Kapokola, born on 13 January 2002 in Chavuma, Lukolwe Likishi Village, North-Western Province, Zambia. I speak Luvale (my native language) and English.
Growing up in a small village, access to technology was limited. But that never stopped my curiosity. I dreamed of building things that could connect people across the world — regardless of where they come from.
My journey started with curiosity about how websites and applications work. I began experimenting with HTML and CSS, creating simple pages. But I wanted more — I wanted to build things that actually work, that connect people, and that solve real problems.
Over time, I focused on modern web technologies including Cloudflare Workers, Supabase, real-time systems, and AI integrations. I taught myself full stack development by building projects, breaking things, fixing them, and never stopping.
Today, with 5+ years of experience, I build platforms that connect people, inspire creativity, and solve real-world problems. My work is driven by a simple belief: where you start doesn't determine where you can go.
When I'm not coding, I enjoy reading tech blogs, building side projects, and continuously learning new technologies. I believe in sharing knowledge and helping others who are starting their own journey in tech.
